Jim Howard

CEO & CoFounder

Jim Howard is a 29-year healthtech executive and founder of Journeys Metabolic in 2023 after four years as cofounder and CEO of legacy company Readout Health, raising launch capital and incubating the project as an EIR with Biogenerator Ventures in St. Louis. Prior to Readout Health, Jim cofounded and was the initial CEO of Washington University-spinout SentiAR, the first AR platform for interventional procedures. He previously led a team of 50 as a commercial VP of at CareFusion’s through the acquisition by Becton Dickinson in 2015. Jim was a first-five employee and VP of Global Sales at digital health startup Pharmacy OneSource, acquired by Wolters Kluwer Health in 2010. He is a board director at POC medical device company, MagBiosense, and is passionate about metabolic disease reversal for both clinical and financial implications.

Courtney Younglove, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Courtney Younglove is Journeys Metabolic's Chief Medical Officer. Board-certified in both Obesity Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, she is one of only seventy fellows of the Obesity Medicine Association. She has practiced medicine in the greater Kansas City area for over twenty years and has practiced Obesity Medicine since 2014. Dr. Younglove founded Heartland Weight Loss, the first insurance-based Obesity Medicine clinic in greater Kansas City. Under her leadership, the practice has experienced considerable growth, currently serving thousands of patients every month.

Dr. Younglove’s passion for cost-effective, evidence-based treatment of obesity and chronic disease is apparent in every facet of her life. In addition to creating a reproducible framework to guide the clinical care of patients with excess weight and using this framework to help thousands of patients, Dr. Younglove often lectures to groups of clinicians and clinicians-in-training about obesity treatment. She also sits on the board of SPEC*KC, an independent physician network that partners directly with self-insured employers to improve price transparency and reduce the cost of claims. During the course of her career, Dr. Younglove has received many awards, including being named one of the “Best Doctors in America” five separate times, as featured in the Kansas City Business Journal. At Journeys Metabolic, she provides overall clinical protocol direction and manages clinical implementations with our value-based care partners.

Greg Robinson, PhD

Chief Technology Officer

Greg Robinson, PhD is our CTO at Journey'sMetabolic and is passionate about value-based healthcare and improving the lives of patients in need. He most recently led AI product development, technology, and data operations at Relias, with a focus on products for clinicians and health systems. Prior to that role, he was the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for Marshfield Clinic Health System, responsible for the development of strategy and tactical execution of data as an asset for the Marshfield Clinic Health System. Greg was co-founder of a health IT software in the predictive modeling space and has held senior executive and consultant roles leading technology and operations for healthcare organizations for academic medical centers and health plans. He holds a PhD from the University of California at Berkeley and is an active auto enthusiast and racer.

Jenn Agne

Head of Clinical Operations

Jenn Agne is Journeys Metabolic’s Head of Clinical Operations. She is an executive healthcare leader with 20 years of experience across regional and national healthcare sectors, including outpatient, inpatient, commercial payor services, and startups. Her combined experience and expertise enable companies to achieve scalability, operational excellence, advanced clinical programs, and the implementation of transformational healthcare solutions with result driven approaches.


Jenn is Board Certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced professional by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and holds an Alumnus status as a Progressive Care Certified Nurse recognized by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She has a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from DeVry University and Master of Science in Nursing Administration with Distinction from Chamberlain University. She is an active member of the Women Business Leaders Organization.

Steve Edwards

Chief Strategy Officer

Steve Edwards serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Journeys Metabolic after three decades of acute care leadership. He is passionately focused on transforming the traditional model of healthcare toward prevention through innovative technology and virtual platforms.

Steve retired from CoxHealth after 30 years of service where he held a multitude of leadership roles, culminating in his decade-long tenure as President and CEO of the $1.9 B Missouri-based health system.

While President at CoxHealth, Steve shepherded the health system through a period of significant growth and transformation, enlarging the employee base from 7,500 to 12,500, adding hospitals, clinics and insurance companies. Under his leadership CoxHealth won distinctions for quality, economic development, information technology, nursing care and employee satisfaction. The organization has been recognized five consecutive years by Forbes Magazine as a leading place to work. CoxHealth made huge swings in market share and sharply increased its profitability, liquidity and balance sheet during Steve’s tenure.

Steve completed a post graduate fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, holds a Masters of Health Administration from the Washington University School of Medicine, and a B.S. from Drury University.
